Who is Rockpool Publishing?
Rockpool Publishing is an exciting new Australian-owned publisher, specializing in mind-body-spirit, family and general non-fiction publishing. Bringing more than 65 years book industry experiences to the company, the owners are Gary Allen, Lisa Hanrahan, Kristy Allen and Paul Dennett. Lisa Hanrahan, who recently resigned from Random House Australia after 10 years, will run Rockpool as Publishing Director. Distribution will be handled by Gary Allen Pty Ltd, the largest Australian owned book distribution company, with sales staff in all Australian states and territories.

Gary Allen Distribution
Gary Allen Distribution is the distributor for Rockpool Publishing titles and they sell to both the book trade and to the mind, body, spirit retailers.
Gary Allen is proudly the largest Australian owned book distribution company. Having been in business for over 50 years, it is a third generation, family owned company. Their list is predominantly non-fiction and children's with books ranging from one-off Australian authors/ self-publishers, through to full lists from large and small Australian and International publishing houses. They have sales staff in all Australian states and territories, keeping booksellers up to date with our monthly new releases.
Why the name Rockpool Publishing?
The team all love water; we feel that the name denotes calmness, serenity, a community that is niche, happy but safe amongst bigger seas. A self sufficient staple ecosystem.
